DESIGNING THE DESIGN SYSTEM

At Eostar we were redesigning, the mnay products the we have to make it enhance user experience and make it a more intuitive and seamless experience. As we set out to redesign these apps, I realized, that we were beginning to slowly re-using some assets like colors, icons and components. So I decided to build a Design System so that we can lay more foundation to the styles and design decisions that we should be taking as a team moving forward.

The Virtual Time Machine is a dynamic, non-linear story about the evolution of planet Earth, the path of which is different each time – the story of the Earth and its many outcomes as chosen by the audience as they jump through time in the evolutionary time-line of the planet. The story is narrated through a social media feed like that of Instagram where the planet is personified to have a profile where she is recording all the milestones of her evolution. See what the future and present of the earth is.

MIBRIDGES

MiBridges is a government of Michigan led project helped their citizens to utilize the various facilities and resources provided by the government by enabling them to apply for benefits and resources and also enabled the in-house team to manage the various cases and resource allocation. I led the design team to envision the platform right from ideation and wireframing to the visual design stage in order to create a new and intuitive experience for all audience personas who will be using the platform. Aside from that, I also worked on developing the design language, style guide, and the various libraries for the web app.

CREDO

The project revolves around how to best curb the problem of child abuse in India. It refers to how in various ways most people from all domains and different stake holders can contribute to this problem and help save our children. This project was centered around what the authorities can do to help deal with the situation. Working closely with the ChildLine India Foundation we helped empower them digitally to assist them in scouting, data representation and planning means to save more kids.

Unreliable Narrator is an interactive installation which keeps you in the dark, quite literally and then shows you a wonderful surprise when you turn on the light. This project was inspired by the fact that our lives is a story and we are the unreliable narrators of our lives. . We all have a definitive beginning and a definitive end but the path we choose to get there can be multiple. It can also be compared to a maze of life that we go through every single day. Different journey  but same beginning and end.

LIFE AN UNRELIABLE NARRATOR

THROUGH THE WINDOW

In retrospect to this pandemic, the only human life we get to see is through the windows of houses. With social distancing, becoming a way of life, windows become the lens into people’s life. So keeping this in mind, I took an imaginative route of wondering what people’s houses may look like. Using pictures of the windows clicked from my terrace, I illustrated hypothetical scenes into them. These images went onto an installation which could be folded back into a book .

PROJECT 14

14 is a flag book project which compares the concept of time for various things in the world. After a lot of research, I chose the number 14 as it fit the unit of time for various things that I had chosen to compare. The project compares what can occur in 14 seconds, 14 minutes, 14 hours, 14 days, 14 weeks, 14 months and finally 14 year. Each of the units of time : seconds, minutes, hour, days, weeks, months and year consist of 14 frames of how it changes through the time frame.

ROAD NOT TAKEN

The Road not Taken is a project based on the concept of a labyrinth. It consists of three layers which exist independently and reveal new information in unfolding each layer.

THE DOOR

Imagine a door leading to a whole new world each time you open. Escape into the vast expanse of abstract environments combined with transcendent music which will transport you. Feel like floating in space, sitting under the galaxies, feel the experience of the rain and so many more. This projectb was aimed at producing experiences that detaches you from the real world and take you into a virtual world through an immersive experience and all you need to do is open the door.

‘Wake through Sleep’ is an art installation which metaphorically describes the human brian activity during sleep.

While asleep, our sleep cycle includes four stages each of which are characterized by slightly different brain activity based on how aware and awake our brain and body are. The cycle includes stages one to four which are called NREM ( Non Rapid Eye Movement) and the fifth stage called REM ( Rapid Eye Movement). The installation metaphorically captures the stages.

WAKE THROUGH SLEEP

This project resonates a serene experience of how tessellation can create beautiful patterns. How a single image with minor manipulation can result in patterns that are this eye catching.

I can watch this all day and feel at peace and equilibrium. Inspired by one of favorite toys as a kid, as the name suggests Kaleidoscope, this project aims at recreating a similar experience without the attachment of a physical object to look into. Feel the joy of transformation with no touch.

LUMINISCENSE

The beauty of physics – light dancing away freely to music, forming ever so attractive patterns that it was hard to take my eyes of the patterns. This project was inspired by the audio. While hearing the audio I could feel myself floating in a pool of colors blanketing me and inducing me to dance with it. Even though the audio has distinct beats, I wanted to create a more fluid and orgainc flow of patterns and colors to complement the rigidness of the sound.

BLOOM

Bloom project is an interactive art installation for an event from scratch that camouflages with the background until someone passes by. When someone walks past the installation, the flowers come alive and bloom into different colors on the bed of leaves.

Emotions through storytelling using the medium of Mixed Reality. This project used shadow puppetry as means of storytelling for inducing emotions in users and hence making them feel much happier and confident with themselves. This project was targeted towards the people who have a complex due to the bad body complex.

Fork the Kabab serves Mughlai cuisine. Keeping the theme of the food in mind, the logo and the illustration on the food truck was designed.

The vendors can stay a mediator between the candidates and employers. They can support both the parties. Employers are exposed to a wide range of candidates for their job openings.
